Davis-Bacon Act
Federal law requiring prevailing wages on federally-funded construction.
The Davis-Bacon Act requires contractors and subcontractors on federally-funded construction projects above $2,000 to pay laborers and mechanics not less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits for the corresponding work on similar projects in the area.
